Laminated surface asbestos cement sheet- this was so big in Australia that competing companies produced multiple ranges of patterns over a number of years. the main competitors were James Hardie and Wunderlich. The breakage pattern is severe with usually sharp edges left by the laminate top surface snapping and caution must be used unless you want to leave blood on your sample when the material breaks suddenly. The easiest and safest way to sample is look for a screw already holding the material and unscrew and take the sample there and rescrew in.
